Luciferin Lamp
The Luciferin Lamp is a play on traditional lamp forms and the hinting similarity of a fungi’s form. Around 100 fungi species emit light through a biochemical reaction between luciferin and molecular oxygen causing bioluminescence. Though unfortunately we all can’t have glowing fungi growing on our bedside tables to light up our favourite books before bed, the Luciferin Lamp is a good compromise.
Materials: Wheel thrown raw stoneware base. Silk-screened 100% wool base.
Fabric and paper yellow vintage gingham lamp shade. Black light fixture with 12 ft. flexible fabric cord and rocker switch.
Use Max: 60 Watt / 120Volt Bulb (Not Included)
Measurements: 15’’ x7’’
Notes: The lamp shade can be set higher or lower depending on your choice of bulb. In the first two images a regular LED bulb was used, and in the following images a long Edison bulb was used.
